So keeping this objective in their minds they constituted an educational Society named "Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society" Thapkour, P.O. Bhadroya, Teh. Nurpur, Dist. Kangra(H.P) which was registered on 23-12-2003 with the Registrar Societies - Nurpur Vide Regd. NO 140/SDNCA2003 under the Society Registration Act XXI,1860. The college is recognized by the NCTE of India vide letter no F.NRC/NCTE/F-3/HP-158/APNO2313 Dated : 29th June, 2005 & affiliated to H.P.U vide letter no 1-276/2005-HPu(Acad.)-1421. Dated : 20th july, 2005.

The college campus is at village Thapkour, which is at Kandwal - Bhadroya (Damtal) state link road 8 k.m. from Kandwal Barrier and 3 km from Chakki Bridge, Pathankot and on Bhadroya Kandwal highway. Local buses are available from both the places after every half an hour. Nurpur town is 20 k.m., Indora 15 k.m. and Pathankot city is just 3 K.m. from the college campus.

College has completed with four sessions till date. The main aim of the College Management is mainly to provide quality education to the students coming from various states of our country. The college emphasis on the commitment for educational advancement and socio-economic transformation.
