COURSES PROVIDED :- B.ED AND M.ED

To meet the great demand of B.Ed course in Himachal Pradesh “Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society” (The Registered Society) has started College of Education after getting the recognition from National Council of Teachers Education (NCTE) for the intake of 100 seats in 2005 -06 and additional intake of 100 seats in 2007-08.


Admission Procedure :-

FOR B.ED :-

The admission to B.Ed course in “Vaishno College of Education” is done on the basis of merit at Himachal Pradesh Univ. Shimla by counseling. There is no entrance test for admission to the B.Ed course.  

Total No. of Seats are divided into category wise is as follows:-

1.Arts – 140 seats
2.Non- Med. – 30 seats
3.Med. – 30 seats.

a.Subsidized seats – 100
b.Non – Sub. Seats – 90
c.Management Quota Seats – 10
d.Other State Quota 15 %

Total Seats – 200.

RESERVATION :-

Out of the sets under category (a) Subsidized Seats reservation, as per H.P. Government/HPU norms are available for SC/ST candidates.

Age Eligibility:

The candidates should be born on or after the following dates:

General/OBC Category

Boys:  01-07-1984

Girls:   01-07-1982

SC/ST

Boy or Girl: 01-07-1981

50% or above in Graduation/Post Graduation

List of documents Required at the time of Admission (Original as well as Attested):

 

1.        Bonafide / Domicile Certificate

2.        Claim Consideration Certificate for admission under any of the Reserved Categories.

3.        Matriculation certificate or equivalent.

4.        Plus 2 Certificate or equivalent.

5.        B.A/B.Sc. Part -1, 2 and 3/ M.A/M.Sc. Certificates/Other Equivalent Examination.

6.        Character Certificate.

7.        Migration Certificate.

8.        Sports, NCC, NSS Certificate if any.

9.        Four Passport Size Photo.

FOR M.ED :-

There is an Entrance Test for admission to M.Ed course which is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. Admission is done after counseling by HPU.  There are 35 seats in total for this course.

PREREQUISTES FOR THE M.ED ENTRANCE

1.  The Himachal Pradesh bonafide candidate can give the Entrance Exam.
2.  The Other State candidates who have done their B.Ed from HPU Shimla are also eligible for the Entrance Exam.
